    Is this sentence grammatically correct?

    The Severn is the longest river in Great Britain and the Shannon – of Northern Ireland.

    It's grammatically and factually incorrect.

    The Severn is the longest river in Great Britain and the Bann is the longest in Northern Ireland.

    (The Shannon is the longest river in the Republic of Ireland.)


    Please note that a better title would have been The Severn and the Shannon.

    Rover_KE, thank you very much. In Ukrainian language a dash can simplify sentences very much. That's why I became confused.

    I will follow the rules next time, sorry for negligence.
