The farther away we are, the worse relations get.

The farther away we are, the worse relations get.

    Hi,
Is the statement above right? You may feel what meant. I actually meant that if we stay far away from our relatives/people we love/friends etc., our relations may go down/break little by little.

We have a saying: "Absence makes the heart grow fonder." I guess you haven't experienced that.
Your sentence is OK, but are you talking about your relations (relatives) or relationships?
Also, you've used 'we', so "The farther away we are, the worse our relationship becomes." If you want to speak generally, "The farther away people are, the worse their relationships become."

    I am not a teacher.

The farther away we are from what or from whom?

I would prefer, 'The farther apart we are...'

'The farther away we are...' should be followed by, '...from each other' for it to have the apparent intended meaning.
