Is this page folded, dog-eared or bent?

    Hello,

I did not do it to the page on purpose. So I am not sure if I still can say the page is dog-eared. Can you help?

    Thanks.

Yes you can. Intent is not needed.

Folded is intentional. Someone did it on purpose. (I do it because bookmarks fall out.)

Dog-eared is not intentional. It's a result of normal wear. It usually refers to books that are old or have been read often.

Bent can be intentional or not.

I don't agree with all this intentionality.
"'to dog-ear' "To turn down the corner of (the page of a book)."

And not all folds are intentional. Paper can become folded by all sorts of accident.
