Reading A study in scarlet

I'm starting to read this book for the first time. It would be nice if more people get involved, so we can help each other and share our impressions. We can determine a number of chapters to read per week depending on time we have.

I've already read it, but will happily comment as I think the Sherlock Holmes stories are stunning. I reread them all last year and was astonished at how close to life today they seemed, while still having characteristics of their time.
