    Past Perfect question.

1.The sun doesn't shine again since you've gone.
---> Can 'since' be followed by Past perfect?
I guess "The sun doesn't shine again 'after you are gone' or 'since you are gone' " is correct.
    Which is correct?

    2. I could have died if not for you.
---> Is this short form of 'I could have died if it had not been for you'?
And 'for' is correct? I think it should be 'of', like 'it had not been of you'.

    Re: Past Perfect question.

'The sun hasn't shone again since you were gone.'
'I might have died if it weren't for you.'

    Re: Past Perfect question.

I believe 'you were gone' is correct because it happened in the past.
And you may see the usage of 'if it wasn't/weren't for' on http://www.oxfordlearnersdictionarie...n/english/be_1 (scroll down).
