    what is "lanugo"?

    Hey guys

Does anyone know what "laguno" mean?
I googled it but couldn't find an answer.

I read it in a book, the author was talking about her new born child.
Her husband was holding the baby in the delivery room.
    Here's the complete sentence:
"He kissed our son's forehead still coverd in laguno."

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

    Re: what is "laguno"?

Lanugo (/la·nu·go/,[1] from Latin lana "wool") is very fine, soft, and usually unpigmented, downy hair as can be found on the body of a fetus or newborn baby. Source :wikipedia

    hope it helps:)

Just out of interest, did you (odilonredon) swap the g and the n, or was it in the original text?

    Re: what is "laguno"?

Incidentally, I imagine this word is related to Fr laine Sp/It/Pg lana (and indeed the less common English word 'lanolin').

Can a moderator change spelling in the title of this thread? It will be no help for search as it is.

We can only change the title of the original thread.

    I've done that.
