standing them out from the larger and more common guinea pigs

    Hello again!

They are small, hairless and have been taking the country by storm… meet the skinny pig. The bald creatures are just a few inches long and can easily fit in the palm of your hand standing them out from the larger and more common guinea pigs.

I would like to ask you whether or not I get the bolded fragment right.

That is how I understand the fragment:

The fact that the bald creatures are just a few inches long and can easily fit in the palm of your hand sets them apart from the larger and more common guinea pigs.

    or

The bald creatures stand out from the larger and more common guinea pigs because they are just a few inches long and can easily fit in the palm of your hand.

    or

The fact that the bald creatures are just a few inches long and can easily fit in the palm of your hand makes them different from the larger and more common guinea pigs.

    What do you think?

I do not think there is a stand-alone verb "stand somebody out from ....."

Please put me right if I am wrong.
