    which are correct? and why

Can anybody explain to me? I've seen some sentences such as ''all you can do is pray''.And i want to know why.

Which of these sentences are correct? Are there any explanation?

    All you need is love
All you need is to love
    All you need is pray
All you need is to pray

The thing that i wonder is what we use after ''all you need is''.I mean , can we use gerund, noun,to inf.,inf?

    Why what?

    All you need is love.
All you need is to love.
    All you need is prayer.
All you need to do is pray.

All four sentences were wrong because none had a period. "All you need is..." can be followed by a noun, gerund, infinitive. To follow it with a verb, connect it with an infinitive phrase like "to do is...."

Other ways to say "All you need is...." include:

    - "You just need...."
    - "You don't need anything except...."
    - "The only thing you require is...."
    - "You can do without everything but...."
    - "Your one requirement is....."
    - "Your sole prerequisite is...."
    - "You need nothing but..."

Re: which are correct? and why

Thank you but i really don't understand some things. If we could use a gerund , noun etc , why wouldn't we use there ''All you can do is,All you have to do is''?
For instance , ''All you can do to is to go , All you have to do is to go''.I know these sentences are correct but can we use a gerund?

''All you have to do is going.
All you have to do is go.
All you have to do is to go. '' Where does this '' to'' come from?
