Hello!
I was studying and I saw this exercise. I was wondering if I could use want instead of fancy? Doesn't the word fancy have the same meaning of want in this sentence?

I didn't ...... driving home in the storm so I stayed overnight in a hotel.

  • -fancy
  • -desire
  • -prefer
  • -want

Thanks!!:)

"Fancy" is correct there. It is mostly BrE. I don't use the word that way, but it is acceptable. If you were to use "want" there, you would have to change "wanting" to "want to" and "driving" to "drive".

You're welcome, but it not necessary for you make an additional post to say "thanks". Just click on the "like" or "thank" button to communicate that.
