    foureyes

    Hello.

I wear glasses and I wonder which word you use to describe people how wear them as well. In my language there're such words and some of them are quite offensive. I'm looking for words that aren't offensive and nobody will be offended if I use them.

I've just come across with "foureyes", but I'm not even sure whether you use it or not.

    Thanks in advance.
Please, correct all my mistakes. I should know English perfectly and if you show me my mistakes I will achieve my dream a little bit faster. A lot of thanks.

I find "foureyes" offensive. I was subjected to it at school many years ago. I don't know if children still use it or not.

    Re: foureyes

You could consider bespectacled. That's not offensive, though its use seems to me to be a bit insensitive, pejorative or unflattering.

It's considered impolite and non-PC to draw attention to people's physical imperfections and I don't know why those of us with less then perfect vision are singled out with a dedicated, dictionary-listed adjective.

After all, we aren't unkind enough to describe people as behearing-aided, beZimmer-framed, betoupéed, becallipered or becolostomy-bagged.

    Re: foureyes

I would just say "they wear glasses". Not offensive.
