other information/ another piece of information

Hi! My teacher (who is not a native speaker) a couple of times said "another information".

I thought that since information is an uncountable noun, one must say "other information" or "another piece of information".

    Which one would you use?

    I would say "more information".
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

"Another piece of" is OK, too.

Is it also possible to say "Further information" as in "For further (or more) information, please contact..."?

Re: other information/ another piece of information

    Hello, Crowned 91.
Yes, it is. 'another information' is definitely wrong unless it's used in something like 'another information provider' - you'll need a countable noun.

    I am not a teacher.

This is a very common mistake for native Italian or French speakers where information or informazione is countable. My wife does it all the time.

    Hi Roman.

Why did you choose does not make to collocate with a mistake?

Both 'does' and 'makes' work well here.

It's a mistake my wife makes.
