It doesn't make sense to me.

    Re: legal livelihood

It is not allowed to make money through lotteries, usury etc. in my religion. My religion emphasises that one should earn money by working. I mean "legal livelihood" to say "money earned by working according to the laws of my religion.

I presume you understand what I mean by "legal livelihood". Now let me explain "prayer". I think I didn't choose the correct word. It should be "worship".

Legal livelihood is equal to/like a worship.

My religion says money earned by working hard is like a worship.

I hope I've explained enough to make myself understood. Please correct my sentence now.

    Re: legal livelihood

I understoodd "prayer" perfectly well. I didn't understand what you meant by "legal livelihood". So, "Earning money by hard work is equal to prayer" is how I would express what you want to say.

    Re: legal livelihood

"Earning money by hard work" is a bit longer but it is good.

Can I also say "halal livelihood is..."?
