Please tell. Can we say "Please lower down this seat(for the seat that is used by barbers to cut hair, that can adjusted up and down)". If it is a correct sentence then what would be the opposite for this sentence.
Can we also say "I want it to be up/down" or "I want it up/down"?
How about this?
Please lift up this seat?
I am not a teacher.
'Please lift up this seat?' sounds like you're talking about a toilet seat, or at the very least a hinged/fold-down type of seat.
We 'raise' and 'lower' a seat if we are adjusting the seating height.

"Please lift up this seat" sounds as if you are asking them to physically lift the whole thing off the floor.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
