    En dash?

    Hi,
    Pls tell me what is an En-dash?

    It is a dash which is usually the width of the lower-case n. It's a little longer than a hyphen, and a little shorter than an em-dash (which is the width of the lower-case m).

    Strictly speaking, you should use hyphens as hyphens or minus signs only. An en-dash ought to be used to indicate a range (for example: 4pm–6pm), while em-dashes are, for example, to set off parenthetical remarks — like this.
