    class/classes

Is it possible to change the plural of the word class to singular and vice versa in the following sentences:
    1) Are you still doing your French evening class?
---> Are you still doing your French evening classes?
    2) Dance classes start at 5:15. ----------------------> The dance class starts at 5:15.
If I were a native speaker of English, I would never shut up. :-)

    Re: class/classes

To be technical, the noun doesn't have plural, it is plural what it has is (grammatical) number.

Pedantry aside, all of the sentences there are correct. I assume you know what the different meanings conveyed by each are; if not, do let us know.

I thought the meanings were the same, aren't they?
