    saw/had seen

    1."As soon as she saw her mother, she began to cry."
    2."As soon as she had seen her mother, she began to cry."

    Is there big difference between two sentence above? Can we say both of them useful?
    I have no English teacher, I try to improve my language on my own. Thanks for your help.

    Is that your kitten in your picture? How have I not noticed that before?

    Anyway - use #1.
    We use past perfect to emphasize that one event occurred before the other. In this case, they happened just about simultaneously.
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Yes, he is my kitten. Also he has one brother. We feed them in our garden =)
