    The article with 'baker's'

I don't remember ever coming across "a baker's" it has always been "the baker's". For example "I am looking for the baker's". My question is whether it's OK to use "a" with "baker's" that is, "I am looking for a baker's". Or is it a set phrase?

    Re: The article with 'baker's'

If you are certain that there is a baker's shop in the area and you can't find it, you could say to someone "I am looking for the baker's. Can you tell me where it is?" If you're simply in an unfamiliar area and need some bread, you could say to someone "I am looking for a baker's. Is there one around here somewhere?"
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.

There is also the expression "a baker's dozen" (13).
