    keys/knacks/tips

Please help me correct the following paragraph. Thanks!

Food and Drug Administration, Ministry of Health and Welfare reminds people of the keys/knacks/tips of choosing the better disposable chopsticks.

Tip 1Don’t choose the disposable chopsticks which smells sour and looks very white because it means that it is full of too much chemical.
Tip 2Soak the disposable chopsticks for 3~5 minutes before using. This way, peole could reduce some Sulfur Dioxide (SO2) in disposable chopsticks.
Tip 3Pay attention to the plastic casing of disposable chopsticks.

    Re: keys/knacks/tips

    Your first tip is incorrect.

<<<Don’t choose the disposable chopsticks which smells sour and looks very white because it means that it is full of too much chemical.>>>

Don’t choose the disposable chopsticks which smell sour and look very white because it means that they are contaminated with a chemical.

I didn't put "chemical" in the plural because it appears that there is only one.

    Re: keys/knacks/tips

I would use "keys to". In none of those phrases is the second "the" necessary.

    I am not a teacher.

You could say, 'Tips for choosing better disposable chopsticks.'

Yes, "to" is a preposition there. "Choosing" is a gerund (noun).
