One of the uses of the present continuous is for repeating actions at present moment or around now. E.g. Why is he hitting the dog? I am travelling a lot these days. (the examples are from Michael Swan's Grammar) I am trying hard to think of a few other examples of these "repeating actions" but the only sentence which comes to my mind is "Why is this girl jumping?"))
Could you help me with a couple of other examples?
