    primary concern

Are the two sentences natural English?

    1. The first rule to eating out healthily and safely is to be choosy about the restaurant and its eating utensils.
    2. I'm a regular out-eater, so my primary concern is the safety of food products and eating utensils.

    Re: primary concern

    I am not a teacher.

    1. works.
    2. I am not familiar with 'out-eater' so I would say, 'I regularly eat out, so my primary concern is the safety of food products and eating utensils.'

    Re: primary concern

Combine the two sentences as written:

The first rule to eating out healthily and safely is to be choosy about the restaurant and its eating utensils. I regularly eat out, so my primary concern is the safety of food products and eating utensils.

It seems to be repetitive with 'eating utensils'. How to improve the wording?

    Re: primary concern

Let's get something straight here. The first rule is to be choosy about the restaurant and its eating utensils, but the primary concern is the safety of food products and eating utensils. So we have three things now; the restaurant, the eating utensils and the safety of food products.

If you want to put all that together you could say, 'The first rule to eating out healthily and safely is to be choosy about the restaurant, its eating utensils and the safety of food products. I regularly eat out, so I am very concerned about this.'
