Please explain me the differences between two sentences A and B. The original sentence:
It was while he was working on a voluntary project in the Far East that he got married to a woman on the same project.
A. He married a colleague from his team during his voluntary work in the Far East.
B. When they got married, he was working in the Far East on a voluntary project.
Key is B. But i don't agree with it very much. In my opinion, sentence B lacks the information that his wife is also his colleague. Anyway, the original sentence emphasizes that he got married while he was working on a voluntary project by using cleft structure. And it seems to me the second does, too. Is there anything wrong with my view?
Thank you very much.

No, I don't think there's anything wrong with your view. I couldn't say that one was better than the other.
