Hello everyone!
What would you call the type of restaurant meal which is:
- served at reastaurants at daytime at fixed hours (say, from 11 a. m. to 3 p. m.)
- offers a limited choice of options (for main course, salad, drink)
- sold at a fixed (usu. reduced) price for everything (comes as a single item on the bill)?
In Russian, we call it "business lunch", but it's not a business lunch proper, i. e. doesn't imply a formal business meeting, it's rather a restaurant's special offer. And it doesn't necessarily mean a takeout lunch or a lunch at a cheap place like Subway or McDonald's, even more upscape restaurants can offer this kind of option.
What would you call it? Lunch combo? Or what?
Thank you.
