    Re: How to pronounce "energicus"?

Should the stress fall on the third syllable?

    Not a teacher.

    Re: How to pronounce "energicus"?

    I am not a teacher.

Since it's not an English word, who knows?

Its origin is apparently the Greek energeia and by analogy with the English energy you might expect the stress to lie on the third syllable (not syllabus, by the way), but I think I would probably stress the second syllable.

It might, but I would be more likely to go for the second.

Where does the stress on a word that doesn't exist belong? Nowhere!

    Re: How to pronounce "energicus"?

I once created a radio character named Dr. Sklefergicus. The accent was on the second syllable.

That would settle it in any just court.
