Hello everyone!
Could you correct mistakes in the following sentence?
I was engaged to two online courses and I had anopportunity of getting conversations with native speakers during my leisure time and my listening and speaking skills have been raised dramatically.

How can I add a signature to my posts? I can't find this option in my profile's settings.

Near the top of this page, click on 'Forum Actions' --> 'Edit Profile', then you can see 'Edit Signature' in the left column on the following page.

Matthew Wai, maybe I am blind but I can't see where "Edit Signature" is :) Do you have the same options?

Please click here to see mine.
Perhaps you will have those options when you are no longer a newbie on this forum.

P.S. You should not have included your birthday in the above screenshot as you have selected 'Hide Age and Date of Birth'.

You have to have at least ten posts to be able to use that feature.

Thank you. I'm sorry, what about my main question? :)

Could you correct mistakes in the following sentence?
I was engaged to two online courses and I had an opportunity of getting conversations with native speakers during my leisure time and my listening and speaking skills have been raised dramatically.

NortT, do you mean 'I was enrolled in two online courses'?

I'd change 'have been raised dramatically' to 'have improved dramatically'.

I would use either "I was enrolled on" or "I was enrolled in".

Please note that thread titles should include some or all of the words you are querying. A good title for this would have been "I was engaged to two online courses". Titles like "Please correct my grammar" are not helpful and don't allow us to differentiate between posts by just looking at the title.

So right sentence would be like that: I was enrolled in two online courses and I had an opportunity of getting conversations with native speakers during my leisure time and my listening and speaking skills have improved dramatically.

What about "I had an opportunity of getting conversations"? Do I correct use "getting" here? I don't feel myself confidently with this word.

Do you think 'having conversations' is better?
If you had more than one opportunity, then it should be 'had opportunities'.

Yes, I had more than one opportunity. So this part of the sentence should be like that "I had opportunities of having conversations". Am I right?

No, that's not right. "I had the opportunity to have several conversations" is better. I must say, though, that I don't find it very natural, but I can't come up with anything better at the moment.

I would use either "I was enrolled on" or "I was enrolled in".

Why do we use ""I was enrolled on" (passive voice) not "I enrolled on"?

'I enrolled on a course' is a single, one-time action when you signed a form and paid a fee.

'I was enrolled on a course' is the continuous period when you were participating in it.

Maybe "I had plenty of conversations with native speakers" is better?

Yes, it is. It doesn't contain the word "opportunity", though.
