    Hi teachers,

Is "The train doesn't wait for or keep anyone waiting" correct?

    Thanks.

Re: The train doesn't wait for

There are two different ideas mixed up here.

'The train doesn't wait for anyone.' (It leaves on time, even if somebody's running to catch it.)

'The train doesn't keep anyone waiting.' (You can expect the train to come and leave on time.)

    not a teacher

If you wish to express those two ideas in one sentence, you could say:
"The train doesn't wait for anyone, nor keep anyone waiting."
