    due date question

    Hi teachers,

I was in a bookstore, and a clerk asked me if ( Is that right? asked me if ~~? ) I want the price to be charged into my student account. I said yes, but I wanted to know about the due date. So I asked,

"When is the due date to make a payment for this price?"

But she didn't understand. Did I say something wrong?

    Thanks.

    Re: due date question

You don't make a payment "for this price." You would make a payment to your account.

I don't know what a "student account" is exactly, but if it is some sort of line of credit, I don't know that the clerk would know its terms anyway.

    Re: due date question

So..what should I say in that situation?

Student account is when I buy something, that amount of money is charged into that account so balance is created in online. Then, I have to pay with my debit card or credit card.

    Re: due date question

You could ask "when would a payment be due on my account?"

I am not sure if the bookstore clerk would be the person to answer such a question.

Perhaps she did understand your question but didn't understand why you had asked her such a question.

    Not a teacher.
