Smile Please help with this sentence. Thanks

We have no right more essential than the right to engage in our own political speech.

What does the underlined part mean? Your help will be appreciated.

Can I put it this way: Our right to engage in our own political speech is more essential than any other right of ours.

Our freedom to express our political views is the most important freedom we have.

    Welcome back.

Have you also forgotten that we don't accept non-standard spellings like 'coz'?
