Hi English Teachers and fellow English language learners,

Can you tell me when to use hyphen and when not to and why.

The words are
1) Team time
2) team building activities

I would use a hyphen in 2. Not sure about 1 without context.

so the second one will be 2) team-building activities. is that correct?

the first one in a sentence:
The students are enjoying team time.

should the "t" in team and time be capital letter? should there be a hyphen or not.

Yes, the second should be hyphenated. I would not hyphenate the first in your sentence. I would not capitalize "team".

Thank you, Mike. Please use correct punctuation.

star, there is no need to write a new post just to say "Thank you". It makes us think there is new information or a follow-up question and we spend time opening the thread. Simply click on the "Thank" button at the bottom left-hand corner of any post you find helpful.

I agree with Mike.
