    whether there is a "the" before the official title?

    2. Dr the Hon Mary Peter Jeffreson

    Unless anybody knows better, I'd say 'The Hon' comes first.

    'The Hon Dr I Kilhamhall-Hoff'.

    Someone named "Mary Peter" is very unlikely.
