How to ask the accountant by email?

    Hello,

The accountant in our firm was sending an outstanding expenses summary to me by email and CC to our boss without saying anything about the statement. I just want to ask her what this email for? As usually she just mailed a reimbursement check to me without giving any other information in advance. I have no idea what she meant.

But can I just say,"what is this email for?" to her. And my boss will see it as well.

    Thanks,

I would go with something like "I received this email from you a couple of days ago but I'm not sure why. I'd be grateful for clarification. Thanks". Make sure you include a copy of the original email.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
