    Since usages

Is this sentence incorrect from a grammar viewpoint?

SENTENCE DELETED BY MODERATOR. THE ORIGINAL SENTENCE WAS REMOVED AND CHANGED TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT ONE BY THE OP, AFTER FOUR RESPONSES.
Last edited by emsr2d2; 18-Sep-2014 at 07:51. Reason: OP made thread senseless by changing question.

    Yes.

    Re: Since usages

I believe it is grammatically correct, but a bit stilted.

    You might want to try:

Ever since air pollution levels have increased, many elderly people have been afraid to leave their homes.

    Re: Since usages

I must apologise. I thought the question was "Is this sentence correct ...?", to which I answered "Yes". I am not used to people asking "Is this sentence incorrect?"! I read what I expected to read (as we frequently do).

    Re: Since usages

I am closing this thread. The OP has replaced the original question (about people being afraid to leave their homes due to air pollution) and replaced it with a completely different one. Consequently, this thread makes no sense and the responses are not relevant to the question we all started answering. I have edited out the "new" question in post #1.

Freeguy - Please DO NOT change a question after you have had responses.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
