The book in which I saw the expression says "day" is the word. I don't agree but can't be sure. Honestly, I'm wondering if the expression is common. Please help me. Thank you.

The phrase "end of days" is used in some religious contexts to mean the period approaching the end of the world, however that may be envisioned.
It is also the title of a generally poorly reviewed film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
