    Lightbulb For what it's worth

So you find yourself at this subway

When your world in a bag by your side

And all at once it seemed like a good way

You realized its the end of your life

    For what it's worth

Here comes the train upon the track

And there goes the pain it cuts to black

Are you ready for the last act?

To take a step you can't take back

I checked the dictionary for the meaning of 'For what it's worth' which is defined as follows:

Said when you are giving someone a piece of information and you are not certain if that information is useful or important

However I still could not understand what it means in the above lyrics. Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thank you!

    JY

    Re: For what it's worth

It is one of the songs 'broadcast' in the movie Begin Again which is called A Step You Can't Take Back. The authors are John Carney, Gregg Alexander and Danielle Brisebois. Should I use the word 'broadcast' in the previous sentence?
    Thank you!

Thank you. The lack of punctuation in the lyrics makes it hard to understand their meaning.

'...one of the songs featured in the movie' would be better.
