    how to use most?

    Hi,
I don't understand how we use "most" in english, sometimes it's only "most", the other time it's "most of".
And now I'm confused in this sentence,
Do we say "it damaged most Asia" or "it damaged most of Asia"?
If you have any thoughts about it, please answer.
    Thanks

    Re: how to use most?

In this case we would say: "It damaged most of Asia." That is because we are saying "it" damaged the biggest part of Asia. We are not using it as a superlative in the sense of, for example: "Everybody had cookies. Jane ate the most."

Can we say "The most of Asia" and does it matter if we put the "the" or not?
    Thanks

    Re: how to use most?

    It's incorrect with "The".
