one more city left to conquer

    Which are correct:

    1) One more city left to conquer to regain all the territory we had lost.

    2) One more city left to regain all the territory we had lost.
    3) One more city to regain all the territory we had lost.

    4) One more city left to conquer for regaining all the territory we had lost.
    5) One more city left for regaining all the territory we had lost.
    6) One more city for regaining all the territory we had lost.

They are all supposed to mean: If we conquer one more city we will regain all the territory we had lost.

They are obviously not sentences, since they have no verbs.

    Gratefully,
    Navi.

Re: one more city left to conquer

You need to make them proper sentences. None of them is correct as is.

    I am not a teacher.

You could have remedied that last point by starting them all with 'There is...'.

Making that correction, I think only 1) says what you want to say.
