    Past Simple or Past Continuous

" Rowling .......... (think of) ideas for her first book while she was travelling on a train. "

Would you use Past Simple or Past Continuous? The book's answer is "thought of" but I would rather use "was thinking of". What do you think?

Use "thought of". It's the most natural.

    Both structures work for me.
