whether vs. if and as vs. because

Could you please let me know if the following sentence is correct.

"I'm wondering whether it is possible to change the time of my poster display as I will be on medical leave on Monday 27 October?"

My poster should be put up between 1 pm and 3 pm on Monday 27 October.

Does the formality of the sentence affected by using if instead of whether or using because instead of as?

Your question is fine. I see no formality issue here.
