    lose jobs to sg

I've just read it in a newspaper:
"America Lost 2.7 Million Jobs to China in 10 Years"

Does "to" means "due to" in the sentence?

No, it means the jobs went to China because of Chinese manufacturing undercutting American manufacturing. Jobs were created in China at the expense of jobs lost in America.
