I agree that "Chill your ____" is really too impertinent for anyone to say. (Even if we are thinking it!)

I remember how shocked we were when a mother called us some years back and was upset because her teenaged American daughter had become angry and yelled:

"Oh, mother! Don't get your panties in a bundle!"

I have no idea what angry American teenagers in 2014 say when they want their parents to calm down.

It sounds to me like no-one knew what they were selling or buying!
You shoudn't be surprised. 25 years ago Polish people still had to learn Russian. It was the compulsory one. Only my generation got the possibilty to choose. Therefore, eldery people in Poland hardly ever speak English. Such a piece of history:)

See if you can return the shirt. If not, cut it up and use it for cleaning rags.

I remember seeing pictures of young children in some Asian countries wearing shirts with the F-word on it. I hope the parents who chose those outfits were illiterate in English.

Never mind knowing what they're going to say, most of the time, after they've said it, I don't understand what they said. :p

I notice a couple of people have inferred that this expression can only be used for a woman. I believe this is wrong.

"Tits" usually refers to women.

The Urban Dictionary entry (which you can find here again in case you don't want to go back to page 1) certainly suggests it can be directed towards either sex.

I'm sure it can be directed at men in the same way that "Don't get your knickers in a twist" sometimes is. In the contexts in which I hear this expression, "knickers" can only refer to a woman's undergarment.

It is surely also worth mentioning that the word tits is not always a swear word, but may also refer to small garden birds of the family Paridae. In a British garden you will often see Great Tits, Blue Tits and Long Tailed Tits feeding at a bird table.

It is for this reason that the word tits can be written in full it is only rude in certain contexts.

I don't think that you capitalize tits in any case.

As Great Tits, Blue Tits or LongTailed Tits refers to the name of a species of bird, yes you can.

Well, since none of those are proper nouns, no. (If you are talking about the scientific name, the genus name is capitalized and the species name is not.)

It's strange to me that they would capitalize long tailed tits. It is still not a proper name.

No but is is the common name in BrE, both forms either capitalised or non capitalised are in common usage.
