Student or Learner
I have to write a reference for a upper school and was wondering which would be the best term in English to describe a kind of competition we had at school. In my school there were around 50 students taking part. Consecutively the first placed was allowed to compete against the other best until to reach a national final. It was about answering questions regarding politics and economics... So how we call this kind of competition?
Furthermore, is it possible to say and what is the best option: "I competed in the 'school competition/?' about/on/in/for? politics.
Thank you all!!
