    common/rare

    Hi,

I am aware of these; it's common, it's rare. Can we use these two words like I have written in the following?

"Nowadays, Gorillas are rare to be seen"
"Nowadays, Dogs are common to be seen in homes"

    Are these correct?

"Nowadays, it is rare to see Gorillas"
"Nowadays, it is common to see the dogs in homes"

    Are these correct too?

They are now. You forgot the full stops (periods).

    Re: common/rare

For your first two, I would change "rare" to "rarely" and common" to "commonly" and would delete "to be".
