    The park is fine/nice.

    What's the difference in meaning?
    1. The park if fine. I like it.
    2. The park is nice. I like it.

    I think the difference is that in 1) the park is looked upon as a good place for a meeting, while in 2) it's just a beautiful place. Am I right? Could it be all the other way round?

    No, nobody suggested anything to me I am just wondering what's the difference in use between "The park is fine" and "The park is nice". Is it possible to describe a park as fine if you just like it (not as a place where you could meet sb, you simply like the park.)

    "Fine" may suggest that the park is somehow acceptable or suitable for something.

    Not a teacher.
