Hello again!

I am looking for a job in a specific company. There is no job posting on their website but their CEO told me there may be necessary jobs for me.

While I am writing the cover letter, the suggestions show I should mentioned about where I get the message about the job posting, so
in my resume, I start it like this:

"The XXX has no doubt served as a landmark for geologists. However, it is really fortunate that your CEO, Mr. Tim, mentioned me about the opportunity to be a geologist in XXX after I get my master degree. "

I read it again and again but it sounds really wired. Could anybody help me with this?

Thank you.

I do not know what you mean by landmark. An employer cannot be a landmark.
Do you mean a preferred employer?

not a teacher
