Please would you correct my mistakes in the following sentences:

1. There had not been a single day that Peter had not thought about his former wife.
2. Not a single day had passed without Anna having a bad conscience about her parents.
3. Not a day had gone by without John having pain since cancer had spread in his body.

The sentences are OK except:

..Anna having bad conscience about her parents.

Do you mean 'Anna feeling guilty conscience about her parents'?

Thank you, tedmc ,for your answer.
Yes, I mean "Anna feeling guilty conscience about her parents."
I am wondering if "having bad conscience" is not a correct english?

1. There had not been a single day that Peter had not thought about his former wife.

That's OK, but it's a bit awkward. Try: "Not a single day passed that Peter didn't think about his former wife."

2. Not a single day had passed without Anna having a bad conscience about her parents.

Try: "Not a single day passed without Anna feeling guilty about her parents."

3. Not a day had gone by without John having pain since cancer had spread in his body.

That's OK, but try: "Not a day went by without John having pain since cancer had spread throughout his body."

:)
