    Usage Of "On"

I am exploring the usage of "on" The usages of "on" in following sentences are standard

English and I agree with them very much:

--We had a discussion on the economy.
--This is a book on history."
--He wrote an essay on science.

But then, there is this headline:

We the People Petition on the Protests in Hong Kong

The above headline lead me thinking about the correctness of the usage of "on" in the following sentence:

He submitted a petition on the current situation.
Is the usage of "on" in the last sentence okay?

    Re: Usage Of "On"

    Welcome to the forum, talkmuch.

In all the above examples, 'on' has the meaning of 'about' or 'on the subject of'.

    They are all OK.
