[Grammar] Heard him Sing vs Heard him singing

Are both of the following sentences correct and if yes then what is the difference ?

1:- I heard him sing.
2:- I heard him singing.

The first answer is yes, and the second answer is that it depends on context. There is sometimes very little difference in meaning, and sometimes there is more.
