    Move Over Chair

    If I write this:

I move my hand over the chair.

Is it ambiguous? Because I think it can mean either 1) my hand moved to the space above the chair and stopped there or 2) my hand moved completely through the space above the chair?

    Re: Move Over Chair

The sentence is not very natural.

    Re: Move Over Chair

    How about this one:

I moved the mouse pointer over the Recycle Bin icon.
Does it mean the mouse pointer, on the computer screen, was on one side of the recycle bin icon, then moved to momentarily overlay the recycle bin icon, then moved to the other side of the icon, or 2) the mouse pointer approached the icon and then overlaid the icon and stayed there?
