Nowadays, technology is so sophisticated. it helps everyone to communicate easily, distance is not problem now. People can discuss, have a chat, etc. without facing their friends directly. They only need to turn on PC and connect to internet, then they can surf in virtual world and have a chat with old even new friends all around the world. Today, we can use technology mobile (whenever and wherever) because of gadget. Also, Instant Messenger (IM) is familiar, e.g. LINE, Whatsapp, BBM, etc. then, my question: what do you think about the implementation of IM in learning English?

It's awesome since we can ask and answer questions without getting face to face with each other. But here, the problem is we will have a social problem because we never met each other. Moreover for learning English. Isn't language about communication? I think, it is not that perfect for each other having a communication without meeting.

Ismiajeng, please read this extract from the Forum Rules:

You are welcome to answer questions posted in the Ask a Teacher forum as long as your suggestions, help, and advice reflect a good understanding of the English language.
