    I need help with this question

    Hello, I was wondering if you dont mind could you tell me whether "I know" is past tense, present tense, past participle, or present participle? I was also wondering if you could explain to me why. Thank you!

    Hello, Dude:


    "I know a little bit of English grammar." = present.

    "I knew that he did it, but I did not tell the manager." = past.

    "I have known Mona for 20 years." = "known" is the past participle.

    "Knowing that he was too old, James did not even apply for that job." = "knowing" is the present participle.

    Your native language is English and you think it is possible that "I know" is past tense? Really?
