    Sentence vs Sentance

Is it still correct to use sentance when referring to a gaol term?

Whether it is a line of words or a gaol term, the spelling is 'sentence'.

Whether you're talking about language or prison:

    Welcome to the forum.

Why did you think that the word "sentance" referred to a gaol/jail/prison term? As you now know, the word is "sentence" regardless of the meaning.
Remember - if you don't use correct capitalisation, punctuation and spacing, anything you write will be incorrect.
